Birth of Jesus

The Gospels of Matthew and Luke offer two different accounts of Jesus’ birth and infancy. In this study, we look closely at their distinctive features and then seek meaning: What do these stories tell us about Jesus? How do they engage the world in which they were written? And what do they mean for our lives today? We find the birth and infancy narratives proclaim the advent of Jesus as the advent of God. With both beauty and drama, they tell of a God who is entering our human story in Jesus. And they leave us eager to hear more.
