A Guide for Biblical Studies Summer 2025: Sacred Altars and Holy Gifts

This summer quarter continues to explore scriptural themes around worship, sacrifice, and offerings. Unit 1 looks back to the earliest of sacrificial altars in Genesis (which preceded the Temple). Unit 2 considers Jesus’s relationship with the Temple, while Unit 3 reflects further on themes of sacrifice in the new covenant.

Written from a Church of the Brethren perspective, A Guide for Biblical Studies is issued quarterly and contains daily NRSVue scriptures, lessons, and questions for both individual preparation and small group use.
