Fruit of the Spirit

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control” (Gal. 5:22-23a). This list of nine spiritual qualities is precious and formative for many who seek to deepen their relationship with God and God’s people. Where do we see evidence of this fruit, or lack thereof, in our world today? How do we make room for growth and maturity? Examining each of these spiritual qualities as depicted in a wide range of biblical texts will inspire us to produce an ever-increasing crop in our own lives.
