Let's face it. Junior high youth today know a lot more about sex than they did a generation ago. This five-session study helps youth explore the topic safely, biblically, and joyfully. They will reflect critically on the media's messages on sexuality, and capture a vision of God's ideals of marriage, honest relationships, and respect.
Session 1
Looking Good! leads youth into an open discussion of sexuality. Through the creation story in Genesis 1 and 2, they will begin to view sexual differences as cause for celebration.
Session 2
The Days of Our Lies saga of Samsom and Delilah in Judges 14-16 shows youth the importance of respecting members of the opposite sex.
Session 3
The tale of Joseph and Potipher's wife in Genesis 39 will equip youth to say What Part of No Don't You Understand? in tempting situations.
Session 4
The Rape of Tammy story in 2 Samuel 13:1-22 illustrates that our sexuality can have a down side. God offers hope despite negative sexual experiences.
Session 5
Good Sex, based on the story of Isaac and Rebekah in Genesis 24, inspires youth to understand that being the kind of person God wants them to be now will greatly affect their sexual happiness later in life.
