Sabbath: God's Call to Peace

As people of peace, we understand that God’s Shalom is more than the absence of violence. In the same way, Sabbath is much more than the absence of work. Through this study, we will expand our understanding of Sabbath as God’s Call to Peace–peace with God, creation, and neighbor; peace of God, Jesus, and creation; and peace as freedom and justice for all. We will explore together how intentional acts of Sabbath-keeping benefit not only self, but society as well.
