For more than 20 years, the Living Word Bulletin Series has served Brethren congregations well by providing worship resources—focused on God’s word—and inspiring photography that aid worshipers throughout the year.
Biblical texts
Each week a biblical text is highlighted on the cover and related to life through photography. The biblical texts are carefully selected in prayerful reading of the lectionary texts for each Sunday. Whether your congregation follows the lectionary or not, the bulletin messages are certain to add to your congregation’s worship experience. Click here (PDF) for current lectionary readings.
Inspiring photography
We have selected images to enhance the biblical message and make it come to life. These images are drawn from congregational settings, mission and service ministries, denominational gatherings, and natural settings found in God’s creation. Thoughtful resources
A cross-section of lay and clergy writers from the Church of the Brethren prepare worship resources or inspirational stories for the back page of the bulletin. These include prayers, meditations, hymn suggestions, and litanies. The scripture from which the cover text is drawn is also printed on the back page. You may order the bulletins with blank backs, if you wish; the scripture passage is included on all bulletins however.
Available in two sizes
Bulletins come in two sizes: a traditional 8.5” x 11” (which folds to 5.5” x 8.5”) and a larger 8.5” x 14” (which folds to 7” x 8.5”). The larger bulletin format is useful for creating large-print bulletins. Cover images are the same on both sizes, with a complementary color bar added to the left of the image on the larger size.

Subscription information
