Zella Johns Gahagen (1899-1984) was an independent, forthright businesswoman when the world of business was dominated by men. After her husband died in 1951, Zella went toe to toe with corporate executives, bankers, and lawyers to turn her coal-rich mountain into financial resources for children and youth in the church.
